CAN I START MY JEE PREPARATION DURING THIS VACATION?

Who all are eligible to write JEE?

Both Class 12 graduates and current students can apply. The JEE Main 2025 syllabus is anticipated to remain unchanged from last year’s syllabus.

Exam Structure:

Two phases – January and April sessions, with Paper 1 for BE/BTech and Paper 2 for B.Arch and B.Plan.
Paper 1: 20 MCQs and 10 Numerical Value Type (NVT) questions each in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, total 90 questions (300 marks).
Paper 2: Varies based on B.Arch and B.Plan, with a focus on Mathematics, Drawing, and General Aptitude.
Exam Duration: 3 hours for Paper 1 and Paper 2A (B.Arch), 2 hours for Paper 2B (B.Plan).

Selection Process:

The top 20-25% of rankers in JEE Main 2025 qualify for JEE Advanced 2025, the final test for IIT admissions. Others can seek admission through JEE Main 2025 ranks in participating NITs and other colleges.

JEE Main 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have qualified Class 12 board exams in the year 2022, and 2023, or appearing in 2024 will be eligible to apply for JEE Main exam 2024.

  • Should be in the final year of the examination of 10+2. Candidate in intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
  • The Joint Service Wing of the National Defence Academy is eligible provided they have a two-year course.
  • Passed 10+2 conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
  • A 3-year diploma holder will also be eligible for JEE Main.
  • Students from the (NIOS) appearing for 10+2 should select the State for eligibility.
