The EmSAT is a national system of standardized computer-based tests, based on United Arab Emirates national standards. The objective of EmSAT is to ensure that students are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively participate in the modern knowledge based global society.
The EmSAT score is
• Used for university admission purposes.
• Used for evaluating the effectiveness of schools’ performance and the quality of the educational system, and taking the necessary decisions for improvements.
• Provide decision-makers information about the skills acquired by students in their different academic levels.
• Assembles accurate data about the knowledge and skills of students in the United Arab Emirates in academic subjects and across different academic cycles in accordance with national standards.
• Helps students determine the appropriate educational paths.
• Determines the level of students’ performance nationally and internationally.
EmSAT Achieve Mathematics assesses the extent to which the test taker is ready to study mathematics at the college or university level. It is a computer‐based exam where test sections, questions, and options are randomized. The tests are timed by the computer and test-takers can see how much time they have throughout the exam.
This exam is adaptive meaning content and difficulty are customized to the individual test taker. When a test taker answers a question correctly, they will be given more difficult content; when they answer a question incorrectly, they will be given easier content. This continuous adjustment process delivers optimized content for each test taker throughout the exam, maximizing their opportunity to perform at their best and providing a more accurate measure of their ability.
International students also can take EmSAT exams. By preparing well and performing strongly on the exam, international students can enhance their chances of admission to UAE universities and potentially secure scholarship opportunities.The EmSAT test score is valid for up to 18 months from the date student takes the test, therefore the best time to take the EmSAT test is in the middle of grade 11 or the beginning of grade 12.
The question paper contains
To achieve good scores, focus on algebra. Study basic algebra problems from 9th grade to 12th grade including addition subtraction, solving of quadratic equations, polynomials, zeros of polynomials, number systems, functions, limits, differentiation, integration of basic functions, vectors, basic operations on vectors, matrices, application of matrices, graphical method of solving equations, trigonometric functions.
For geometry practice problems involving surface area and volumes of different figures like cones, cuboids, cylinders etc. During the test you have the access to datasheet which containing equations. So, there is no need to memorize them. You will also have access to calculator.
For statistics familiarize yourself with concepts like mean variance, standard deviation.
A Mathematics score of 900 is a good score.If you are aiming to join the faculty of medicine,engineering or computer science, you must know that each college demands a minimum total score of your EmSAT score result and a high score in one of the four subjects related to the field. The test results will appear within 2-3 weeks from taking the exam if you are a 12 grade student, and in 10 days if it wasn’t your first time taking the test. As per the EmSAT calender the upcoming test dates are 30/6/24 and 7/6/2024.
Test shift timings are 8am to 10.30 am, 11-1.30 pm, 2- 4.30pm, 5-7.30pm
