DASA 2024: Direct Admission of Students Abroad

Introduction:

The Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) program facilitates the admission of NRI, OCI, PIO, and foreign students to undergraduate engineering and architecture programs offered by Centrally Funded & Premier Technical Institutes of India, including NITs, IIITs, SPAs, and other similar institutions. Based on their JEE Main Rank, students are granted direct admission to the institutes under this arrangement. The MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) launched the Direct Admission to Students Abroad (DASA) scheme in 2001 to cater to the interest of NRIs worldwide in NITs in India. DASA is not an exam but a scheme started by the Government of India and MHRD for Direct Admission of Students Abroad in premier institutes of India.
